ACLS- Advance Cardiac Life Support

AHA’s Advance Cardiac Life Support -ACLS Course has been updated to reflect new science in the 2015 American Heart Association Guidelines for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care. This course builds on the foundation of lifesaving BLS skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR. It also gives focus to high-performance team dynamics and communication, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS). (16 Hours)

 AMLS- Advanced Medical Life Support

16-hour course for EMTs, paramedics, nurses, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and physicians. This course covers all aspects of the medical patient in a blend of lecture and practical stations. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a certificate of completion, a wallet card recognizing them as AMLS providers for 4 years, and 16 hours of CAPCE credit. (Satisfies all NREMT medical requirements for bi-annual recertification.)

Basic Life Support

AHA’s BLS Healthcare Provider Course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. (4 Hours) Students participate in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations. Students work with an AHA BLS Instructor to complete BLS skills practice and skills testing. Students also complete a written exam.

AHA’s PALS is a classroom, Instructor-led course that uses a series of simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation and team dynamics. (16 Hours)

PHTLS- Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support

16-hour course for EMTs, paramedics, nurses, physician assistants, physicians and other prehospital providers. This course covers all aspects of the trauma patient in a blend of lecture and practical stations. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a certificate of completion, a wallet card recognizing them as PHTLS providers for 4 years, and 16 hours of CAPCE credit. (Satisfies all NREMT trauma requirements for bi-annual recertification.)
